This webinar will focus on describing the outcome of the algorithms benchmarking from the PACS/SPIRE map-making workshop, held at ESAC in January 2013. This workshop compared all publicly available algorithms for mapmaking the PACS photometer data in different fields and produced metrics to help guiding the users in the selection of the most appropriate ones depending on the science case and type of field.

Agenda

  • Summary of 2013 map-making report (Paladini et al.) for PACS, that shows that there are no major issues with most map-makers, but some subtle differences between them.
  • Open issues on map-making under investigations.
  • SPG plans for the medium and long term future for legacy archive.
